Warren Friesner is a former trial lawyer and restauranteur with 20 years of project management experience and extensive information architecture and UX experience.

He’s also the co-founder of 2 current startups, including a language learning video chat startup that was selected for the Global EdTech Startup Awards in 2018.

Warren has written music and played keyboards in original rock bands. He’s also taught meditation and is a daily practitioner. He’ll be happy to teach you too!

 

 

 

Erick Kuo spent 10 years working as a senior designer and creative supervisor for international agencies, including Grey Advertising, Young and Rubicam, and Ogilvy and Mather, before forming Clear Light with Warren Friesner in 2000.

He’s won major awards or been a finalist at Cannes International Interactive Festival, Webby Awards, MarCom Awards, and Ommi Awards. He’s been lead designer on projects for Sony, Pantene, MTV Networks, Chase Bank, 7-Up and many others.

In addition to providing the creative muscle for 2 current startups with co-founder Warren Friesner, Erick also paints, enjoys photography, and has a strong, daily meditation practice.

 

 

 

Xiao rose to fame in 2005 as his cover design for the album “The Wandering Accordion” by local artist Wang Yan-meng got nominated in the Grammy Best Recording Package category.

He has since been nominated 3 more times for his cover artwork on the Chun-mei Taiwanese Opera Troupe’s “White Horse,” “Poems and Songs”, and for  Story Island, which.

Additional awards include Best Recording Package from the 10th Chinese Music Media Awards in China, the Best of the Best from the Red Dot design award in Germany, and the Good Design Award from the Chicago Athenaeum in the U.S.
